Immaculata Class of ’65 Reunion Meeting,  September 28, 2015

Present: Kathy Nacy Stasis, Sue Lyons Williams, Beverly Hydo, Judy Morad Gumbel, KathyPetlewski,Mary Ann O’Rourke, Lillian Demski Birrell, Paula Geraci Zito, Sue Evans Shovlin

Reservations: Judy has 57 responses for the Friday night Meet and Greet and 56 alumnae for the luncheon. We also will have three IHMs attending the luncheon and possibly Miss Des Rouche. Judy will send Kathy P a list of those attending to be eblasted.

Facility: Sue Talked to our Dearborn contact, Liz MacNamara,. We will be paying $100 for a TV to display a loop of pictures copied from the yearbook. The inn is providing at no charge: microphone and podium, six round tables for lunch, two oblong tables for reception and memorabilia, and an easel to display greeting from those unable to come.  We will inquire if we will be allowed to pipe in 60’s music. Judy thinks she has a good collection on CD if the inn does not have a 60’s program.

Friday night Appetizers: Janet Hoey Robinson has agreed to handle the details.

Memorabilia table: Cindy Dunlop Chabie has agreed to facilitate the items.

Flickr account: Kathy P reported the bio pages are trickling in. WHAT DID WE DECIDE ABOUT POSSIBLY TAKING PICTURES OFF FLICKER IF WE HAVE A LOT OF REPEATS?

Spreadsheet: We will have copies of the spreadsheet addresses at the reunion for attendees. In order to offer a copy to those who cannot be there Kathy P will send an eblast the week before the reunion asking anyone interested to contact Mary Ann O. For those not attending who do not have internet we will send them a copy via US mail.

Floral arrangements: Sue LW will use six five inch cubes and possibly a seventh vase.

Trivia: Kathy NS has a four page ice breaker trivia test. We will pass it out at the reception table or leave them on the lunch tables. TBD. Kathy will read the answers after lunch.

Nametags: Bev showed us her mock ups. First names are large and easy to read.

Donations: It has been suggested to honor our IH teachers, who exposed us  to such wonderful literature, that we chose a novel,  book of poetry etc. and donate it to a school of our choice. We will mention this at the reunion, but we will also put a reminder on our website.

Program: Sue ES will have program cards printed. The program will include: 1) Group photo. We will do 3 photos of twenty. Mary Ann O and Paula will write down the names for each picture. 2) Welcome-Sue ES 3) Memorial for deceased classmates: Kathy P and Mary Ann O will read names and light 13 candles for each of the 12 classmates and Miss Patricia Wider + one extra just in case. Sue LW will provide the votives. Sue ES will do a poster with pictures of our deceased members.  Judy will bring the lighter. 4) Kathy NS will do the invocation.5) Lunch 6) Kathy P will give pointers on using the social networking sites she has set up.7) KathyNS will read the answers to the trivia test.

WE WILL BE THERE AT 10:00 FOR THE LUNCHEON

OUR NEXT MEETING WILL BE MONDAY OCTOBER 26, 2015  SAME PLACE 6:00.
